Dreessen describes ReAttach as foundational for her therapy. She explains, “Clients come to me with problems like extreme fatigue and an inability to properly distribute their energy. ReAttach helps them establish a foundation on which we can build the rest of the therapy.”
Dreessen shared a notable experience involving a client with chronic pain, whose life was dominated by her condition. “This lady could no longer engage with her grandchildren, pursue her hobbies, or visit her parents. After just one session of ReAttach, she didn’t immediately realize the impact, but told me she still had pain while engaging in activities she previously avoided,” Dreessen recounts.
The client had engaged in various activities, such as attending the Amstel Gold Race and visiting the zoo, something that was previously unthinkable. Dreessen explains, “When I told her how much she had undertaken, she was astonished. She hadn’t realized how active she had been, despite the pain.”
Dreessen emphasizes that the changes brought about by ReAttach can be so subtle that clients themselves may not notice them, but their surroundings do. “That’s the beauty of ReAttach; it can bring significant, yet subtle improvements to clients’ lives.”
