The concept for ReAttach emerged in 2010 after Paula’s personal experience, during which she noticed that psychological issues are often related to sensory processing problems. She describes ReAttach as non-trauma-focused, growth-oriented brain training that is playful for children and cognitively challenging for adults.
Paula is passionate about ReAttach’s underlying philosophy, which she views as a paradigm shift within psychological care. “We are so used to extensive diagnostics that often result in stigmatization,” says Paula. ReAttach offers an alternative by being a facilitating intervention that helps people resume their development.”
The ReAttach method is used by various professional groups, including psychologists, special educators, coaches, social workers, and professionals in care for the intellectually disabled and neurorehabilitation. Paula emphasizes how ReAttach improves learning conditions, enabling clients to grow more effectively.
Given the positive results that sometimes evoke skepticism due to their effectiveness, Paula hopes for a breakthrough for ReAttach. She strongly believes in the method’s future development, supported by the growing number of trained professionals who apply ReAttach.
Through the ReAttach Academy, she offers the ReAttach Practitioner training and the Affect Coach professional course. Quality assurance is a crucial task of the foundation. Trained professionals can also register in the ReAttach quality register and, after registration, continue to use an extensive online learning environment and materials.
